The editor, Konstantinos Voskarides, says in the overview “Evolutionary Medicine is a fast-growing research field providing biomedical scientists with valuable information on molecular and pathophysiological mechanisms of disease. This is the reason that Journal of Molecular Evolution has devoted this issue to Evolutionary Medicine.
